RICHIE BRANSON “THE WING ZERO” EP

LISTED BELOW ARE SOME OF THE GREAT REVIEWS OF THE EP ALREADY

“each track on ‘The Wing Zero’ maintains a high standard in both production value and rap style.”
– Nerdcore Now
“even if he’s talking about something as seemingly innocent as anime, he still doesn’t f*ck around.”
-The Jace Hall Show
“Richie Branson could possibly be the nerdiest rapper in the world.”
-Pure Nintendo
“As far as gaming-themed hip-hop goes, we’d say this is pretty good”
-Playstation Universe
“With a name that is curiously similar to Richard Branson, Richie Branson is no less the media mogul if you asked me.”
“Richie Branson’s raps are solid”
-The Unheard Nerd
What he did was compose a really cool rap track that almost sounds like an underground Hip Hop track waiting to shoot to #1 spot on Billboard charts. In fact, if I heard the song for the first time in a nightclub, I might as well mistake his letter to a really chilled out number. Richie really digs nostalgia and writes an almost wistful letter to Square Enix requesting them to resurrect old franchises that are now almost dead.By Jude Cavale in Gaming
A letter to @richiebranson, If I can rap I can tell you how I plan to make you a proud fan once more. We love you buddy. I will make it my mission Ben Bateman- Diretor Developer
This track samples the song “Secret of the Forest, aka Guardia Forest Theme”with lyrics that are very heartfelt and can be understood by old school fans of the company. Even though he says “not to take his advice to heart, as it’s all in good fun.”-Published by Will Thompson in CultureMusicRemixSquare-Enix. |
I’m starting this week off with a video. Why? Because one of our awesome readers (thanks Matt!) sent me this Gundam Rap album preview and I can’t get the song “White Reflection” out of my head! This was recently featured on TOKYOPOP but if you didn’t catch it you need to watch now:-By Miss Mecha
His suggestions get a little crazy (mainly in the name of rhyme — Sega does go well with Vega), but it’s all about nostalgia and love. I’m right there with him.-By Mike Fahey Kotaku.com
As far as gaming-themed hip-hop goes, we’d say this is pretty good. We’d even call ourselves fans of this track. There are enough old-school gaming references scattered in the lyrics to make any fan of classic JRPGs smile. Posted March 5th, 2012 at 22:23 EDT by Don Oliveira
