Daniel a.k.a. Dannyboy has been making his way down the road of musical excellence for quite some time. He has been writing, performing, engineering, recording and mentoring musicians all over the globe. Currently enlisted as a Supply Sergeant in the United States Army, D-Boy serves his country proudly. While also serving his own hunger for creating good music. Reigning from Richmond, Va. Danny grew up singing in the children’s choir which led him to other ensembles such as an elementary boy band followed by many more choirs. After realizing he actually had some musical talent he later found himself in area talent shows and later in the Armstrong High School Choir. While in high school Daniel earned a vocal/choir scholarship that lead him to Norfolk State University (Norfolk, Va). Where he studied Music Media & Production. Here he began his journey in the Recording Studio. Learning how to produce was second nature. Taking one step at a time Dannyboy could finally spread his wings. Writer/singer/producer/engineer a one man band some might say.
D-Boy currently released a duo mixtape with rapper Jay Holla, CEO of Respect My Fresh Entertainment. With D-Boy singing and Jay rapping, what else could you want. The two hit the studio and came up with fifteen blazing tracks that they would call the “Finally” mixtape. Which had been long over due since they’ve known each other for many years. Fifteen songs that would bring back “the best of both worlds” in 2012. A modern day hit out of the bunch “Supa Shawty” would steal the spotlight. A song that Dannyboy wrote while on a twelve month tour in Iraq 2010. After adding a verse from Jay Holla the mic was on fire and lying flat on the floor. They killed it.
-Supa Shawty was also featured on The underground Radio Flow vol 2 mixtape presented by Tampa Mystic and hosted by DJ Dream-
Dannyboy produces most of his projects himself. His work area consists of his favorite Motif 6, Logic, Reason, Axiom 25, and the cream of the crop what he calls “Big Brother MPC”. But never the less he is always looking forward to collabs with other producers/artists. He has worked with Indie Artists such as Dray-P (North Carolina), Legend (Mississippi), Pharaoh (Virginia Beach), Eddie Kane (Norfolk, Va.), Lot 14 (Norfolk, Va.), Aaron Stoneburg (Minnesota) the list goes on. You can find D-Boy’s music on various websites such as Reverbnation, Facebook, Soundclick, etc.
