WE WANTED TO START OUR 2014 RELAUNCH WITH AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW FROM THE YOUNGEST LEADER OF “THE NEW OLD SCHOOL” JAH STONE… JAH IS FOLLOWING IN HIS FATHERS FOOTSTEPS AS AN ARTIST, BEING 12 YEARS YOUNG, AND HOLDING HIS OWN EVENTS IN HIS COMMUNITY, JAH HAD A CHANCE TO SIT DOWN WITH US OVER THE HOLIDAYS AND DO A ONE ON ONE INTERVIEW WITH US.. LET US INTRODUCE TO YOU JAH STONE…
CG: HELLO JAH.. THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME OUT TO DO AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH US.. SO TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF.
JAH: I’m the new leader of The New Old School Jah Stone, son of Bobby Stone born and raised in Crown Heights Brooklyn. I’m 12 years old and I enjoy breaking ankles on the basketball court and spitting grown man bars.
CG: AS I READ YOUR PRESS KIT, I SEE THAT YOU ARE HOSTING YOUR OWN EVENTS LIKE THE BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT IN CROWN HEIGHTS. AT THIS EVENT YOU HAND OUT SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO THE CHILDREN IN YOUR AREA. WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START THESE EVENTS IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
JAH: My dad started the event years ago and I pretty much took it over. TNOS gives away free school supplies every year because a lot of kids and parents can’t afford it so Im just following my dad’s footsteps and making our community better. It feels good when you help people. Ivit.
JAH: I used to be shy but now I enjoy performing on stage, outside or anywhere. I like to show my skills and when the audience cheers for me I feel like I’m on top of the world. And yes the ladies show much love love
CG: TELL US WHAT YOUR GOALS ARE AS A YOUNG MAN AND AS A ARTIST
JAH: I want to be famous by the age of 15. No. I’m going to be famous by the age of 15 if not sooner. I want to play in the NBA and do great things in Hip Hop. Oh and finish school of course like my dad.
CG: ARE YOU WORKING ON ANY PROJECTS OR MAYBE EVEN YOUR OWN CD?
JAH: Yes. Since people really like the Life as a Shawty single and video on YouTube a lot of people are waiting to see if that’s all I can do. I’m going to show the world how talented I really am in 2014 with a new project. Also my dad and I have a new single /collaboration dropping this year as well.
CG: I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED OUR INTERVIEW. I SEE GREAT THINGS AHEAD FOR YOU AS A YOUNG MAN AND AN ARTIST.. CONTINUE TO BE A ROLE MODEL IN YOUR COMMUNITY.. I WANT TO TELL YOU TO NEVER GET DISCOURAGED EVEN WHEN THINGS GET TOUGH.. HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH AND LOOK AT ALL YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED AS A YOUNG MAN, AN ARTIST, AND GIVING BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY.
JAH: Thank you, and thank for taking the time out to interview me.
CG: DO YOU HAVE ANY LAST WORDS FOR US?
JAH: Thanks for the support from everyone and I promise to provide quality music. I don’t want people to say oh he’s cool because he’s young, I want them to see good art from me.
CG: LET THE FANS KNOW WHERE THEY CAN FIND YOUR MUSIC, VIDEOS, AND CONNECT WITH YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA..
